The new BMW iX3 records excellent results on the European market. The second-generation electric SUV reached more than 10,000 units sold in just two months, making it one of the most successful new electric models in the premium segment.
BMW started deliveries in Europe in March, and by the end of April 10,299 vehicles had been sold. Thus, the iX3 surpassed the Polestar 4, which achieved 8,925 registrations in the same period, although it has been on the market for a longer time, writes CarScoops.
The model came close to the Audi Q6 e-tron, which recorded 12,536 units sold during the first four months of this year. However, Audi recorded a 23 percent drop in sales compared to the same period last year, so BMW could soon take the lead.
At the beginning of the year, BMW announced that it had collected more than 50,000 orders for the new iX3. Due to high demand, the company even introduced an additional shift at the factory in Debrecen, Hungary.
It is interesting that one in three buyers of the new iX3 did not previously own a BMW, which shows that the electric SUV is successfully attracting drivers of other brands.
Deliveries of the model will soon begin in the markets of the United States of America and Asia, where BMW expects continued strong sales growth.
