President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov within the framework of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum and discussed issues of further development of strategic partnership and alliance relations between the two countries.

At the beginning of the conversation, Oljas Bektenov conveyed to the head of state the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev. delivered.
At the meeting, urgent issues of further deepening of multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were discussed. The high rate of active communication and interaction at all levels was noted with satisfaction.

The parties noted that the volume of trade is increasing and joint cooperation projects are being consistently implemented in the priority sectors of the economy based on the recently adopted new “roadmap”.
It was also noted the importance of careful preparation for the Intergovernmental Commission meeting scheduled to be held in July of this year and the first Council of regional leaders to be held in Aktau.
