The week-long programme is focused on strengthening the Principality’s development initiatives and preparing for future challenges. Held every two years, the gathering includes participants from 12 partner countries across Africa and the Mediterranean region.
The seminar is structured around four key priorities: education and child protection, health, food security, and training and entrepreneurship. The sessions provide an opportunity for staff working both in Monaco and abroad to share experiences, align strategies and reinforce the impact of projects supporting vulnerable populations.
Officials described the event as an important moment for collaboration, particularly at a time when international development faces growing pressures. According to OECD estimates discussed during the seminar, global development assistance could decline by between 10 and 20 percent in the coming years, making effective and targeted support increasingly important.
Among the initiatives highlighted was Monaco’s new programme to support impact entrepreneurs in partner countries. Backed by €1.3 million in funding, the scheme will operate across 11 cooperation countries, providing both financial support and practical guidance to entrepreneurs seeking to develop projects with measurable social and economic benefits.
The CAP 2030 seminar continues through the week with discussions on health, refugee support and food security, helping shape Monaco’s international cooperation strategy for the years ahead.
