According to V. Zelensky, these documents allegedly contain assessments of Russia’s internal situation, including V. Putin’s rating indicators and public dissatisfaction with his actions.
“There were reports of our intelligence on the results of work assessing Russia’s internal situation and receiving documents that end up on the table of the Russian leader. We understand that V. Putin is rarely given completely accurate information without embellishments. However, even what he sees in the documents allows him to draw conclusions,” said V. Zelensky.
According to him, the so-called forecasts show that the dissatisfaction of Russians with V. Putin’s policy will continue to grow consistently, and it is already being formed that this growth cannot be stopped and that this indicator will not reach a stabilization level by September, when parliamentary elections are planned in Russia.
It is also stated that the indicators of the ruling party’s support show a consistent downward trend, which, according to V. Zelensky, would indicate the need for larger-scale election falsifications.
Intelligence reports also record a significant increase in protest sentiment in Russian regions.
“We believe that these reports have not yet assessed the potential events of June, July and August, which will inevitably have an additional impact on the situation in Russia,” the president said.
V. Zelensky emphasized that the pressure on Russia due to the war will continue and increase.
“Thus, in September, V. Putin will count on even worse indicators. Unfortunately, all our public and private peace proposals have only been met with the rhetoric of continuing the war,” he added.
According to the President of Ukraine, the internal situation in Russia should show the opposite direction – that peace is necessary.
“Ukraine offers to negotiate a dignified peace. It is clear that the trends will not change, and over time this may mean that an agreement will have to be concluded with another person in Russia – with someone who is not blinded by reality,” stated V. Zelensky.
