The Kep Archipelago has proven that marine ecosystems can successfully recover through targeted conservation and strong collaboration, according to Marine Conservation Cambodia (MCC).
In a statement released yesterday, the marine conservation group highlighted its daily initiatives to support Cambodia’s coastal communities, protect marine biodiversity, and enhance ocean resilience.
These efforts are conducted in close partnership with key stakeholders, including the Asian Development Bank, the French Development Agency, the Fisheries Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, local fisheries communities, and various partner organisations.
The ecological turnaround in Kep province serves as a reminder that collective action can turn environmental recovery into reality, MCC added. AKP
