Saudi-Lebanese security cooperation overthrows a criminal network and thwarts the smuggling of 3.9 million amphetamine tablets
The security spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Talal bin Abdul Mohsen bin Shalhoub, stated that, based on the proactive security follow-up of the activities of criminal networks that practice drug smuggling, information provided by the Saudi Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to the counterpart agency in the Republic of Lebanon, contributed to the Lebanese authorities thwarting an attempt to smuggle about (3,900,000) tablets of the narcotic amphetamine.
The security spokesman praised the existing cooperation with the counterpart agency in the Republic of Lebanon in monitoring and controlling narcotic drugs, stressing that this cooperation reflects the level of integration and security coordination between the two brotherly countries in confronting cross-border criminal networks.
He stressed that the Kingdom continues to monitor criminal activities that target its security and youth with drugs, confront them, thwart their plans, and arrest those involved in them, in a way that contributes to protecting societies from the scourge of drugs.
