The Martyr Al-Hafiz, June 10, 2026 (SPS) Today, Wednesday, the Director General of the Algerian National Archives at the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Bounaama, visited the Media Archive, where a training course is being held in the archives for the benefit of those working in the field of archiving in the various institutions of the Sahrawi state.
During the visit, Mr. Mohamed Bounaama addressed the course participants with a speech in which he highlighted the importance of the training course and the archiving process in preserving and preserving Sahrawi memory.
In this context, Mr. Bounaama mentioned what the Algerian state suffered from during the colonial period, as the colonizers worked to plunder the archive and change it, considering that it is an essential element in the state’s memory.
Mr. Mohamed Bounaama added that the training course organized by the Algerian National Archives for the benefit of employees from the Sahrawi Republic in the field of archiving is intended to provide them with expertise and invest in reliable capabilities in protecting and preserving the memory of the Sahrawi state.
For reference, Mr. Mohamed Bounaama was received in front of the Media Archive headquarters by the Director of the National Archives, Mr. Al-Arabi Boubisher, the Director of the Media Archive, Mr. Al-Salek Muftah, and the Director of the Basiri Media Institute, Mr. Sayed Ahmed.
