On Wednesday, the Valley Court issued a ruling convicting an accused of publishing the subject of the Arabic language in the baccalaureate exam, to three years in prison and a fine of 50 million centimes.
A statement by the Public Prosecutor before the court stated that the judicial authority received a notification from the National Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Crimes Related to Media and Communication Technologies, monitoring the accused’s publication of the exam topic, using remote communication means.
To be brought before the Republic Prosecution, and prosecuted for the misdemeanor of leaking the topics of the final examination for secondary education, using remote communication means. The file will be referred to the Misdemeanor Court in accordance with immediate appearance procedures.
The court will issue the aforementioned penalty against the accused, ordering him to be deposited in the hearing, and confiscating the mobile phone used to leak the exam questions.
4 years in prison for a free candidate and his sister on charges of leaking exam topics and answers
On Tuesday, the Sharqa Court in the capital ruled a 4-year prison sentence and a fine of 200,000 dinars against a free candidate to take the baccalaureate exam and his sister, on charges of leaking exam topics and answers.
A statement by the Public Prosecution Office at the same court stated that it received, last Sunday, a notification from the National Gendarmerie that the accused was caught in the act at one of the exam centers in Ain El-Benyan, while he was photographing the questions using his mobile phone, to send them to his sister via the “WhatsApp” application.
It turned out that the sister of the independent candidate was answering the questions, using the artificial intelligence application “GPT Chat,” and then sending them back to him via “WhatsApp.”
Subsequently, the two suspects were brought before the Republic Prosecutor’s Office, which upon questioning ordered that they be referred before the Misdemeanor Section, under immediate appearance procedures, for the misdemeanor of publishing and leaking the topics and answers of the final examinations for secondary education using remote communication means.
After the defendants appeared before the court, they were convicted of the charges against them, and each of them was punished with the aforementioned penalty. They were placed in prison.
Sentences of between 4 and 5 years in prison against 5 defendants charged with the misdemeanor of undermining the integrity of the exam.
In Laghouat, the court issued sentences ranging from 4 to 5 years in prison, with fines ranging from 400,000 to 500,000 dinars, against 5 defendants charged with the misdemeanor of undermining the integrity of baccalaureate exams.
The case goes back to monitoring the exchange of short text messages between the defendants, including answers to the Arabic language exam, during the first hour of its start.
The suspects were brought forward and prosecuted according to immediate appearance procedures, on the charge of undermining the integrity of the exams by publishing baccalaureate exam topics, by several people, and using means of remote communication.
The court will issue its rulings against the five defendants with the aforementioned penalties, and order them to be imprisoned, adds the same source.
4 years in prison for those accused of fraud via mobile phone
The Tlemcen Court issued a 4-year prison sentence against two defendants for attempting to undermine the integrity of baccalaureate exams.
According to a statement by the Public Prosecutor before the court on Monday, the security services received a phone call yesterday regarding the arrest of one of the independent candidates in the baccalaureate exams, taking out his mobile phone during the course of the exam.
Subsequently, the security services opened a preliminary investigation, which included an electronic search of the concerned person’s phone. It was found that there was an audio recording between him and the second accused, which included an attempt to leak the exam answers.
The two suspects will be brought before the Tlemcen Court Prosecution, to be prosecuted for the misdemeanor of attempting to undermine the integrity of the exams, using the automated data processing system, and to refer them to the misdemeanor department for trial in accordance with the immediate appearance procedures.
After the two concerned appeared for trial, each of them was sentenced to 4 years in prison, with an order for deposit and confiscation of the seized items.
Two women accused of leaking the Arabic language topic were detained in Biskra
On Sunday, the Biskra Court also issued an order to detain two defendants accused of leaking the subject of Arabic Language and Literature in the baccalaureate exam, with their trial scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2026.
According to a statement by the Public Prosecutor before the court, the two defendants were arrested based on a complaint filed by the Biskra State Education Directorate against a female candidate for the baccalaureate exam at Larbi Ben M’hidi High School.
A suspected case of baccalaureate questions being leaked via Bluetooth technology was detected by the student (H.M.), after she was found in possession of a hidden Bluetooth headset while she was taking the exam.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused made a phone call to obtain the answer to the exam with the help of her sister named (H.Z.). Via Bluetooth phone call, as confirmed by the technical inspection of the mobile phone.
The two defendants were brought before justice to be prosecuted for the misdemeanor of leaking topics and answers to the secondary exam during the exams, using remote communication means, in accordance with the procedures for flagrante delicto, and they were placed in prison.
