Man is innate to love money: {And money is given due to his love…}, but rather due to the intensity of his love of money: {And indeed, the love of goodness is intense} and goodness here is money. On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The son of Adam grows, and two things grow with him: the love of money and a long life.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari, and on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The heart of an old man grows with the love of two things: long life and the love of money.” Narrated by Muslim.
Since this was the case, and love blinded and deafened its owner, and man’s emotions had a great influence on his decisions and choices, and there is no doubt that among the strongest and strongest of them was his passion for money and his love for increasing it, God Almighty took charge of the detailed division of money in three of the places in which greed drives people, and the emotion of their love for money drives them to strive for the greatest amount of it without taking into account the rights of others or the limits of Sharia law, and these three places are:
The division of spoils and spoils, as mentioned in the words of God Almighty, may He be glorified and exalted: {They ask you about the spoils. Say, “The spoils belong to God and to the Messenger. So fear God, and make peace between yourselves, and obey God and His Messenger if you are believers.”)
The division of zakat, as it was mentioned in the words of God Almighty, glory be to His attributes: {Alms are only for the poor and the needy and those who work for them and those whose hearts are reconciled and for freeing slaves and debtors and for the cause of God and for the wayfarer. It is an obligation from God, and God is All-Knowing, All-Wise}.
And the division of inheritances, where the words of God Almighty, glory be to His wisdom, were mentioned in it: {God enjoins upon you concerning your children, for the male the equivalent of the share of two females. If they are women, more than two, then they shall have two-thirds of what he left, but if there is one, then she shall have half, and his parents shall each have a sixth of what he left, if he has a child. If he has no child, and his parents inherit from him, then his mother shall have a third…} The verses.
And with what has been reported of the warning about forbidden money and its effects, such as his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “No flesh that grows from the illegitimate fire will enter Paradise,” narrated by Ahmad and others, and like his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “This money is green and sweet. Whoever does what is due to him will be blessed in it, and he may delve into whatever his soul desires of the wealth of God and His Messenger. On the Day of Resurrection, he will have nothing but Hell.” Narrated by Ahmad and others. And other hadiths and vows, except that people were lenient regarding eating forbidden things, earning forbidden money, and forbidden money, and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, spoke the truth and he is the truthful and truthful one. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “A time will come upon the people when a person will not care about what money he takes, whether it is permissible or from forbidden.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari, and I think that this is one of the times in which this noble hadith is authentic, as is seen. And live!
Then the talk about forbidden money and its harms, its forms, consequences and effects is long and has many branches and chapters. Rather, I want to draw attention to a strange phenomenon of some people who continued the forbidden and became accustomed to it, and their souls made it lawful for them, so they issued ignorant fatwas for themselves, and deceived themselves with deceptive hopes, and thought that they were deceiving people, and even deceiving the Lord of people, and only deceiving themselves: {they deceive God, and He is deceiving them}, {They deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive none but themselves, but they do not perceive.} This is the case with those who usurp and plunder money, and then you see that perhaps they gave in charity a little of what they stole and usurped, or perhaps they performed Hajj or Umrah with it, or perhaps they contributed to building a mosque, or perhaps they usurped an inheritance worth billions and gave the rightful owners of this inheritance some dinars as a dusting of dust for the eyes, or perhaps they plundered public money and then donated to the orphanage, or perhaps they took large bribes and helped a patient in surgery, or perhaps They brought a mufti and deceived him and made them confused, so he gave them a fatwa according to what they said, declaring their wealth permissible, or.. or.. or.. and they think that by doing so they have settled their account with God Almighty, purified that evil sin, and their wealth has become lawful and good! But far from it, far from it. Unless the rights are returned to their owners and the money is returned to their families, dime after dime, there is no permissibility or dignity!
This is what the Noble Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, stated in his saying: “Whoever collects illicit money and then gives it in charity; He had no reward for it, and he insisted on it.” Narrated by Ibn Hibban, and in his saying: “A servant does not earn unlawful wealth and gives it in charity and it is accepted from him, nor spends it and he is blessed for it, nor leaves it behind his back unless it is added to the Fire. Indeed, God, Blessed and Most High, does not erase evil with evil, but He erases evil with good. Indeed, the evil does not erase the evil.” Narrated by Al-Bazzar.
