The reason is the decrease in the credibility of citizens towards the behavior and scandals of politics and power over the years.
Support for them is growing and growing as people continue to join the rallies hours after they have started.
The images from the square in front of the Prime Minister’s Office show that, as the hours pass, the number of citizens not only does not decrease, but increases. The message being conveyed is clear, the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his cabinet ministers is demanded.
Dissatisfaction with the 13 years of government which, according to the protesters, did not fulfill the expectations and the promises were not kept, quite different from the promises. This dissatisfaction extends to the entire political factor, with a demand for change.
At the center of the calls remains the demand for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
For many protesters, after 13 years in power, the political responsibility for immigration, economic difficulties, wages and pensions that do not increase, while there is a lack of support for social classes, and the lack of trust in institutions has a clear address, Rama’s government.
“Edi Rama must leave”! “Rama runs away”! Resign the government!” are the messages that are heard more and more often in the square, while the citizen protest continues to gather supporters and gain ground even when the revolt has entered its seventh day.
