The analyst and former ambassador, Mustafa Nano, advised Prime Minister Edi Rama that he should really consider leaving. In a brief analysis, Nano says that the departure should be normal, resign, hold new elections within the SP and elect a new leader.
Nanos, Albanians are no longer ready to accept the fact that Rama has to rule the country with a group of oligarchs, who, as he says, are the only ones who have access to the office of the head of government.
He says that this fact has led the Albanians to anger, which culminated in these massive protests in the streets and squares of Tirana.
“My advice is only one. I don’t give this advice to that other leader, because that leader is a barbaric world that doesn’t belong to me. But he should think about leaving, think about leaving. Not leaving with the idea that after me there will be trouble, but a normal flight, pass on the baton, organize elections within the SP, elect a new leader, and that’s it. Even if he wants to throw something in our faces, let him we say the excuse, of the type that “you were not able to understand me. In my mind, I am hundreds of years ahead, you are here in 2030″. He can tell us these things, but I have to go. I have to go because the Albanians are no longer ready to accept the fact that this country should be ruled by a handful of businessmen and oligarchs who meet with this, who talk to this, who go to the office, the only people who have access to his office, morning, lunch, dinner. It is this group of people who are ruling Albania. It is the anger towards this fact, towards this situation that has brought thousands of people to the squares and streets of Tirana”says former ambassador Mustafa Nano.
