Through the Transmission of Preliminary Electoral Results (TREP) system, the Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE) announces the candidates elected in the internal municipal elections this Sunday. In the case of the PLRA, these are the winners for the Central department.
This Sunday the municipal internal elections were held in the country and as in each election, the TREP, a system of Electoral Justice, provides the results “unofficial” of who the chosen ones are.
The day focused mainly on the two main parties in the country: the Republican National Association (ANR) and the Authentic Radical Liberal Party (PLRA).
Both parties defined their candidates for the municipal elections on October 4, 2026, although in the case of the liberals, they also elected Who is going to preside over the party?
In replacement of Hugo Fleitaswith a crushing victory will be Alcides Riveros (New Liberalism List 3), the future head of the PLRA. The outgoing mayor of Fernando de la Mora prevailed over other lists, such as those presented by the liberal senator Ever Villalba or the liberocartist Dionisio Amarilla.
