    President Tebboune orders the opening of an investigation into the “deficiencies” recorded during the importation of sacrificial animals


    On Sunday, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered the opening of an investigation into the shortcomings recorded during the import of Eid sacrifices, especially those related to organization and distribution.

    This came while he was chairing a meeting for the Council of Ministers, He touched on the final outcome of the process of purchasing and distributing Eid sacrifices for the benefit of citizens. In addition to continuing to strengthen control mechanisms for consumer products.

    President Tebboune assigned the Ministries of Internal Trade and Health to establish laboratories at all ports and airports to monitor products destined for consumption. The Ministry of Agriculture monitors all types of grains.

    “Private beaches” for the use of mechanical marine entertainment

    Regarding preparations for the summer season, President Tebboune directed “to designate private beaches along the country’s coasts, for the use of mechanical marine entertainment, to avoid accidents.”

    In the same regard, the President of the Republic also reminded that “all measures and means should be taken to ensure that the beaches are free, and to preserve the sanctity of the families who frequent them.”

    The President “praises” the Minister of Public Works

    In the public works sector, the President of the Republic appreciated “the efforts of all the workers and executives of the public works sector, led by Minister Abdelkader Galaoui, as he is a man of the field.”

    The President also praised the role of “the Chinese partner in the high pace of completing various strategic projects, which witnessed important progress at the national level.” Specifically referring to:

    • The eastern mining railway line extending along the Jebel El Enq-Bilad El-Hadba-Tebessa route, all the way to Annaba,
    • And projects with regional and continental dimensions.

    Today, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, chaired a Council of Ministers meeting, which included presentations including:

    Following up on the expansion and linking of stations and industrial areas to the strategic mining line of Bashar-Tindouf-Gara Jbeilat, preparations for the summer season and arrangements for receiving the national community abroad, determining the final outcome of the process of purchasing Eid sacrifices for the benefit of citizens, in addition to following up on strengthening control mechanisms for products intended for consumption and strengthening the capabilities of laboratories.

    Following the presentation of the agenda and then the government’s activity by the Prime Minister, during the past two weeks, the President of the Republic gave the following instructions, orders and directives:

    At the beginning, the President of the Republic appreciated the efforts of all the workers and executives of the public works sector, led by the Minister as a man of the field, and also the Chinese partner at a high pace, to complete the various strategic projects that have witnessed important progress at the national level, especially railway projects with a strategic dimension, especially the eastern mine line extending along the Jebel El-Anqb-Bilad El-Hadba-Tebessa route, all the way to Annaba, in addition to projects with a regional and continental dimension. He also encouraged those affiliated with the sector They achieve tangible results, in terms of quality and respect for deadlines.

    Regarding preparations for the summer season and arrangements for receiving the national community abroad:

    The President of the Republic stressed the importance of diligence and diligent follow-up to ensure the success of the season by correcting the following:

    • The President of the Republic reminded that all measures and means should be taken to ensure free beaches, and to preserve the sanctity of the families who frequent them, so that negative phenomena are not repeated every season, with an emphasis on combating the phenomenon of seizing beaches, and assigning the competent authorities and security agencies to prevent and deter these behaviors, in parallel with updating the legal texts, to address this phenomenon.
    • Identifying private beaches along our coasts for the use of mechanical marine entertainment, to prevent accidents.

    Regarding the final outcome of the process of purchasing Eid sacrifices for the benefit of citizens:

    • The President of the Republic directed the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries to correct the shortcomings recorded in the process, especially those related to the aspects of organization and distribution, despite the receipt of one million heads of sheep.
    • In light of what marred the process as well, the President of the Republic ordered the opening of an investigation into all the shortcomings, in order to identify deficiencies that must be corrected in the future.

    Regarding continuing to strengthen control mechanisms for consumer products and strengthening laboratory capabilities:

    • The President of the Republic assigned the Ministry of Internal Trade and the Ministry of Health to create laboratories to monitor and manage products intended for consumption in all ports and airports of the country.
    • The Ministry of Internal Trade is responsible for monitoring products intended for consumption, including meat of all types, while the Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for monitoring the quality and type of grains of all types only.
    • The President ordered the creation of specialized teams, formed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and supervised on the ground by the Ministry of Internal Trade, to monitor products intended for consumption during their transportation across the roads in cooperation with the security services.
    • Mr. President ordered the continuation of the fight against fraud, unabated, as it is a phenomenon that remains at the top of priorities, through the introduction of accurate laboratory analyzes that enable access to the source of fraud and the application of the law.

    Before the conclusion of the Council of Ministers meeting, Mr. President ordered the completion of technical studies as soon as possible, in preparation for laying the foundation stone next July 5 for the construction of an artistic performance hall in the capital, with a capacity of between 6 and 8 thousand seats, which will be an added value that strengthens the artistic and cultural structures of Algeria.
