According to Ekhtaz Online, in response to the news published by a media about the non-payment of pensioners and retirees of the Social Security Organization due to the withdrawal of this bank from the organization’s accounts with the Workers’ Welfare Bank, the Central Bank considered this allegation “absolutely false”.
The central bank announced; Following the publication of news by one of the media about the non-payment of salaries of pensioners and retirees of the Social Security Organization, the Central Bank provided explanations in this regard.
According to the explanations of the central bank, the social security organization has continuously used the credit capacities of the Workers’ Welfare Bank to provide the resources it needs due to liquidity challenges and the imbalance between resources and expenses. However, the repayment of the received obligations and facilities has not been done within the stipulated dates.
The Central Bank emphasized: The claim that the non-payment of pensions is related to the withdrawal from the accounts of the Social Security Organization is a pure lie and has no basis, and making such claims without explaining the real dimensions of the issue can cause confusion in public opinion and undermine public trust.
The central bank also reminded: responsibility in informing and strengthening empathy and cohesion among the institutions is necessary, especially in the current sensitive situation of the country, and the publication of materials that create the basis for the formation of wrong perceptions in the society should be avoided.
