Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) — The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a message of sympathy to Comrade Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People’s Republic of China, on May 24.

The message reads as follows:

Upon hearing the sad news that a gas explosion accident at a coal mine in Shanxi Province of your country claimed heavy casualties, I express deep sympathy to you, Comrade General Secretary, and the Chinese party, government and people and to the bereaved families of the victims.

I heartily hope that the Chinese people will eradicate the aftermath of the damage as soon as possible under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government with you, Comrade General Secretary, as the core and the bereaved families will overcome their sorrow and regain a stable life. -0-
