KCNA | Article | Letter to Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un from Participants in 26th Chongryon Congress

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) — The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un received a letter from the participants in the 26th Congress of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on May 24.

As the respected Marshal has shown care for and guided Chongryon with his paternal love and benevolent solicitude, the 26th Congress of Chongryon could be brilliantly recorded as a congress of loyalty, patriotism and unity which set a new milestone in the history of the Juche-oriented movement of Koreans in Japan and as a significant congress which enabled Chongryon to turn out in the grand march toward the 80th anniversary of its formation, the letter said, and went on:

The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is a great strategist of state building and a great master of creation and transformation who performed great exploits for the country and the revolution, the times and history by setting forth the action programs and fighting strategies for national prosperity and the well-being of the people and making eye-opening leaps and miracles one after another in all spheres of socialist construction with his gifted ideo-theoretical wisdom and extraordinary leadership practice.

He unfolded a bright blueprint for the prosperity of Chongryon by giving important instructions, including his historic letters sent on the occasions of the 25th Congress and the 70th formation anniversary of Chongryon during its 25th term. He also gave a boost to the patriotic movement of Chongryon by showing such favor as having a photo session with the members of the Korean schoolchildren’s art troupe in Japan who participated in the New Year performance and inviting the Chongryon congratulatory group and delegations to the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and other important events.

The congress proudly reviewed the valuable successes made in the past four years through hard-fought struggle for the happiness of compatriots and the future of rising generations, set the orientation and goal of the new period of struggle till the 80th formation anniversary of Chongryon and decided on the main tasks and ways for the next four years.

We will rally the compatriots, the foundation of Chongryon organizations and inexhaustible patriotic strength, more broadly and put them forward as the masters of the sacred struggle to write a new history of the movement of Koreans in Japan, as instructed by the respected Marshal.

The letter said that all deputies to the congress firmly pledged to make tangible achievements in their work by devoting themselves to implementing the decisions of the 26th Congress which set a milestone in the new period of struggle toward the 80th formation anniversary of Chongryon and thus live up to the deep trust and expectation of the respected Marshal with loyalty. -0-
