Albanian heavyweight boxer Kristian Prenga is convinced that on July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, he will defeat the double heavyweight champion in professional boxing, superstar Anthony Joshua, and shock the world.
On Monday, a media conference was held to promote the fight between Joshua and Prenga.
Prenga has 20 wins and one loss in professional boxing. All the victories are by knockout.
The Albanian boxer said that he was surprised when the manager told him that he would box with Joshua.
“Honestly, when the coach called me and said ‘you will fight Joshua’, I didn’t believe it, but you said yes, it’s my time. I respect him, he is a great fighter and I have watched him from the first fight. I grew up with him, but now is my time. But, in the ring, I have no respect for anyone. I train hard, stronger than ever, I feel very good, ready and I think he will shock the world”, said Prenga, broadcasts “Ring Magazine”.
Joshua fought his last fight in December last year, when he knocked out YouTuber turned professional boxer, Jake Paul, in the sixth round.
For Joshua, the fight with Prenga is seen as preparation before the long-awaited confrontation against Tyson Fury.
“He’s going to do what he has to do. I respect him like I respect any opponent, but I know what I’m going to do… This is my category,” Joshua said.
Joshua then asked Prenga to give it his all and show no respect in the ring.
Prenga fought his last fight on February 21, when he knocked out the American Joe Jones in the first round. He debuted in professional boxing in May 2016.
