The body of a 70-year-old woman was discovered late on Thursday evening in an apartment on Linke Wienzeile in Vienna-Mariahilf. The police assume that the pensioner died violently. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office (life/life investigation area) has taken over the investigation. They are being led “at high speed in all directions,” the police said.
Friends hadn’t heard from the woman for days and checked her apartment. When they found the 70-year-old lifeless, they alerted the emergency services. However, an emergency doctor could only determine death. The deceased had obvious bloody injuries. The police kept a very low profile “for tactical reasons” and did not provide any further information. (APA)
