Today, the Office of the General Authority for Zakat in the Capital Secretariat organized a workshop for employees of the Banking and Finance Department on the mechanisms for disbursing financial aid to beneficiaries through the Authority’s remittance system.
The workshop, in the presence of the Advisor to the Chairman of the Authority, Jamal Al-Himyari, and the Director of the Authority’s Office at the Secretariat, Muhammad Al-Ulafi, reviewed the most prominent updates that were added to the money transfer system and allow the implementation of transfer and financial disbursement operations to beneficiaries in a more rapid and effective manner through direct linkage with approved financial authorities and agent networks of banks and exchange companies.
The workshop discussed the mechanisms for implementing financial transfers and following up on disbursement procedures through the system, which contributes to accelerating the completion of transactions and expanding the options for receiving aid for beneficiaries.
The workshop discussed aspects related to information security, data confidentiality, and the high protection the system provides for beneficiary transfers issued by the Zakat Authority to ensure the confidentiality of financial data, enhance confidence in disbursement procedures, and ensure the safe arrival of receivables to beneficiaries.
Al-Olafi explained that the remittance system represents an important step in raising the level of efficiency, facilitating the disbursement process, and improving the quality of financial performance to serve the poor and needy.
