THE Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) expanded this Monday (22) the release of products from Ype and authorized the sale and use of detergents and disinfectants manufactured from January 1, 2026.
According to the agency, the new release was possible because the company presented reports with satisfactory results for all batches of detergents and disinfectants manufactured between January and February this year. As a result, only products in these categories produced until December 31, 2025 remain suspended.
The agency also informed that the company will voluntarily recall liquid washing liquids with the end of batch 1 produced by March 31 of this year, but did not inform the reason why they remain suspended. Ypê did not inform how it will collect the products.
The collection, according to the agency, is part of the Risk Management and Mitigation Plan presented by the company.
The measures published this Monday replace decisions announced last weekwhen Anvisa had released detergents and disinfectants produced from March onwards and maintained the suspension of washing machines manufactured before April.
The decision updates the restrictions imposed on Química Amparo, owner of the Ypê brand, after the suspension determined in May reach detergents, disinfectants and washing machines with batches ending in 1 produced at the Amparo (SP) factory.
The case started in November 2025when the agency ordered the recall of batches of liquid laundry detergents from Ypê after identifying sanitary irregularities. In April this year, the restriction was extended to detergents and disinfectants produced at the Amparo unit.
According to Anvisa, inspections carried out at the factory identified structural and operational flaws and batches contaminated by bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Since then, the company has been presenting laboratory reports and implementing changes to your industrial park to obtain the gradual release of the products.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY PRODUCT IS ON THE LIST?
The consumer must check the batch number and manufacturing date on the packaging. If the detergent or disinfectant code ends in 1 and was produced before December 31, 2025, the item is included in Anvisa’s determination and the product should not be used. As for washing clothes, if the batch ends in 1 and is done before April 1st, the consumer must contact Ypê for collection. The batch number is usually stamped with the letter L (referring to batch), and the manufacturing date is right next to it.
SHOULD THE CONSUMER STOP USING THE PRODUCTS?
Anvisa’s recommendation is to immediately suspend the use of the affected lots and contact the company’s SAC for guidance on returns and collections.
For refunds, the company’s official service channels are the telephone number 0800-1300544 (Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm, except on holidays) and the website www.ype.ind.br/contato/sac. It is possible to include the Pix key for refund. The invoice attachment is optional.
There is still no information from the company on how to request the collection of suspended products already purchased.
I USED THE PRODUCT FOR CLEANING. SHOULD I WASH THE DISHES OR CLOTHES AGAIN?
As a precautionary measure, consumers can rewash clothes, utensils or surfaces that have had direct contact with a suspended product, especially in cases of irritation, change in the item’s smell, color or texture. However, there is no indication of risk that requires throwing away household objects used with the product.
Affected batches should not be thrown away, according to Anvisa’s recommendation, to avoid contamination of other locations. Products must be stored until the manufacturer’s instructions on recall, or in case of tests that prove the safety of the sanitizers.
