A World Paediatrics (WP) Physical and Occupational Therapy team conducted a two-day clinic on March 23-24, 2026 where close to two dozen children were evaluated.
The clinic provided essential therapy to children with concerns ranging from hemiplegia, brachial plexus, post-surgery rehabilitation as well as genetic and neurological disorders affecting daily living, mobility and gait, a WP release states.
Twenty-two Vincentian children were evaluated over the two-day period at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH), Kingstown by Physical Therapist, Michelle Froede, and Occupational Therapist Jessica Lynn. They were provided with local assistance from Physical Therapist, Janelle Ballah at MCMH.
Following closely behind the Physical and Occupational Therapy team, World Paediatric’s Cardiology team held a two-day clinic on March 26 and 27, 2026 also at the MCMH.
The team was led by paediatric cardiologist Dr.William Moskowitz who was joined by paediatric cardiologist, Dr. Adarsh Kulkarni and local paediatrician, Dr. Shari-Ann Davis-Andrews.
The team evaluated 77 Vincentian children with known or suspected heart abnormalities, providing diagnostic assessments. This helps guide treatment plans, surgical referrals, and long-term care strategies for some of the children, WP explained in its release.
Both teams expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve the Vincentian community, highlighting the warmth and resilience of the people they encountered.
Both teams were sponsored by the Mustique Charitable Foundation to which World Paediatrics has extended its “fervent appreciation for this invaluable support which plays an integral role in our goal to provide access to advanced medical care for our Caribbean children and families”.
