Bishkek (AKIpress) – A man named Meder accused three employees of the State Committee for National Security of threats, pressure and illegal seizure of his property. He made a corresponding complaint to the president on November 2 Sadyr Japarov during a meeting with residents of the Talas region.
According to the applicant, in August 2023, employees of the State Committee for National Security B.R., T.Zh. and A.N., having previously agreed, forced him to hand over his house, a trading container and a car to them.
The man claims that he was threatened with imprisonment for a term of 8 to 14 years.
“They told me: “We have the power, the system is us. Either you issue a power of attorney or you go to prison,” he said.
According to Meder, he recorded the threats and telephone conversations and transferred them to the State Committee for National Security’s own security service. However, he claims, there was no proper response. After this, the man contacted the Prosecutor General’s Office.
He said that he subsequently ended up in a pre-trial detention center, where he spent 65 days. According to him, during the investigation, SCNS officers falsified the case materials and also put pressure on him and his relatives.
The applicant also spoke about threats against his wife and other family members. According to him, certain statements were demanded from relatives, making his release conditional on this.
Meder said that the Military Prosecutor’s Office subsequently opened a criminal case against employees of the State Committee for National Security. At the same time, he expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the defendants, according to him, remain at large.
After listening to the appeal, Sadyr Japarov asked representatives of the law enforcement agencies to provide information on the case.
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Almaz Azhygulov confirmed that a criminal case has been opened and is currently being investigated by the Military Prosecutor’s Office.
Deputy Prosecutor General Chingiz Akhmatov said that the case will be taken under control.
