VINLEC introduces card payments at Corporate Headquarters and elsewhere

Customers of the St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) can now pay their electricity bills using debit or credit cards at the Corporate Headquarters in Paul’s Avenue, Kingstown.

“We know that convenience matters to our customers, particularly when they are managing their expenses. By introducing card payments, we hope to make their visits to the cashier quicker and provide another simple way for them to pay and keep track of their transactions,” VINLEC’s Manager, Customer Services, Indira Laynes is quoted in a company release as stating.

The new card payment service is available at all cashiers.

The introduction of the Point-of-Sale (POS) service forms part of the Company’s wider efforts to modernise its operations and improve overall customer experience. VINLEC continues to explore how technology can make its processes more efficient, and improve service delivery in all areas, the VINLEC release also states.

The card payment facility complements other existing payment options, including self-service kiosks located at VINLEC’s Corporate Headquarters, Kingstown; Joshua Centre (Arnos Vale); Greaves Marketplace (Pembroke), and the Bequia Power Station.

Payments may also be made in-person or online through participating banks, credit unions and post offices. The power company is encouraging customers to use the payment method that is most convenient and suitable for their individual needs.
