Two new winners have emerged in the 2026 St Vincent and the Grenadines Squash Association’s National Senior Championships.
Copping the female title was Jada Ross, with Jayden George taking the male component, when the National Championships convened from September 15 to 18, at the National Squash Centre in Paul’s Avenue.
It was especially delightful for Ross, who in her comeback event, seemed as if she never left, disposing of all comers with some ease.
Ross’ route to the title saw her bettering Maria Chapman 11-2, 11-5, 11-3; Caeli George, 11-3, 11-3, 11-2; Ciara George 11-7, 11-9, 11-13, 11-7; and Gianna Miller- Alexander, 11-1, 11-4, 11- 2.
Ross thus ended with a 4:0 win/ loss ratio, as she took the throne from Nadira Morgan, who was unable to defend her title as she is studying overseas.
It was a similar pathway for George, who saw off Ceron Padmore, 11-1, 11-2, 11-1; got past Aiden De Freitas, 11-3, 11-3, 11-2; and overcoming Jaydon Williams, 11-4, 11-4, 11-3 on his way to take honours.
In the process, George took the reins from Jules Snagg, who is occupied with coaching at the national level.
The Masters component which also forms part of the National Championships will take place at a later date.
