On April 23, while implementing the operative information received in the Artik department of the Community Police with the colleagues of the Shirak Marz Department of the Criminal Police, it was found that a 39-year-old man from the village of Pokr Mantash, by prior agreement, had materially interested 12 fellow villagers, including minors, in order to participate in the gathering organized by one of the parties in the Freedom Square of Yerevan on April 11, by promising money. The 39-year-old man was assisted by family members in carrying out this transaction.
“They went to Yerevan in the cars of two men, residents of the small Mantash village, to participate in the rally, and on the way back, the 39-year-old man paid 10,000 drams to adults and 5,000 drams to minors in the yard of their house and promised that in the future there will also be financial support.” “Armenpress”as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Reports of the same content were received from 12 persons not involved in the case, which were transferred to the pre-investigation body.
A public criminal prosecution was initiated against four members of the family under Article 236, Part 2 of the Criminal Code, for having a material interest in participating in the gathering. A 39-year-old man was placed under house arrest and an absence ban, his mother and sister were placed under administrative control and an absence ban, and a minor family member was placed under educational control.
The investigation is ongoing.
