An alleged criminal was shot dead by the Police after attacking a jewelry store located in the heart of the city of Ñemby this afternoon. According to the first reports from the intervening parties, another assailant escaped from the scene aboard a motorcycle.
Behind him assault happened this noon in Nemby Agents of the jurisdictional police station, the 7th Central whose headquarters are located about three blocks from the scene of the incident, they requested the support of Criminalistics and Investigations personnel.
According to primary data, two would be responsible for the robbery, one of whom was killed in front of the premises by police officers and according to the Investigations officers it would be the ex-convict Cirilo Silvestre Sugasti Silva (49), although this has yet to be confirmed with the study of fingerprints with the system (AFIS).

This criminal has several criminal records for various punishable acts perpetrated over recent years and a pending arrest warrant; he was currently living in one of the settlements of Ñemby.
However, the uniformed officers do not have data on the identity of the other criminal who participated in the coup at the JD jewelry store, located on Santa Rosa Street on the corner of Teniente Guido Galeazzi, in the heart of the city of Ñemby.

According to the investigators’ accounts, shortly after 11:00 both criminals entered the JD jewelry store, one of them had a helmet on, while the other criminal, the one who later died, entered with a kepi and a mask on. Both carried short weapons, a 22 caliber revolver and apparently a 38 caliber revolver.
When Jorge Daniel Vega Giménez (34), owner of the jewelry store, noticed the presence of criminals in his establishment, he sought refuge in the back of the store. At that moment, the criminals smashed the glass furniture where the jewelry was on display.
The two criminals began to load all the valuables in their respective backpacks and even cash, which was not quantified by the victim. Subsequently, the assailants went out into the street to board the motorcycle that they left parked in front of the premises.
To the bad luck of the criminals, just at that same moment a patrol car from the jurisdictional police station arrived at the scene, the criminals, seeing themselves cornered, opened fire on the uniformed car.
They took cover and then shot at the strangers, one of them was hit by at least three impacts, which ended his life instantly, the body was left lying on the pavement.

His 22 caliber revolver was left on one side of the body, while in his left hand he held tightly several bills that he had just stolen from the jewelry store, about G. 160,000. His bag, which contained part of what was stolen from the business, including the sum of G. 600,000, was also left at the scene.
However, the other criminal managed to leave the site in the middle of the shooting aboard his motorcycle and escaped from the scene, taking with him the part of the jewelry that they stole from the establishment that they stormed.
Criminalistics experts took samples of the victim’s fingerprints to confirm his identity through the AFIS system, as confirmed this afternoon by those in charge of the investigations.
