The Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) is organizing the Nokor Sankranta event in Phnom Penh over six days, from April 14 to 19, to celebrate the traditional Khmer New Year.
Sok Sabayna, head of the Nokor Sankranta executive committee, said:
Following the guidance of Samdech Hun Manet to remain dedicated to our responsibilities, we must also maintain our connection to frontline forces and refugees. As Samdech noted, this is not merely about remembrance, but about inspiring others through our actions.

Dr Pich Chanmony personally encouraged the team at Wat Phnom. She visited the site and made a valuable suggestion to prepare a place where people can donate money or supplies for the refugees and brave soldiers.
As a result, three donation locations were immediately set up yesterday. The first is at the Cultural Village, the second at the Nokor Sankranta information booth at Yeay Penh, and the third at the Nokor Sankranta information booth in front of Wat Unnalom.
