The US Embassy is pleased to announce the launch of the Next Level Hip Hop Programme 2026 in Grenada, a dynamic cultural exchange initiative that connects American hip hop artists and creative professionals with talented Grenadian artists.
Hosted in partnership with the Government of Grenada through the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Economy and Culture, the programme will bring participants together for a 2-week residency from 13–24 April 2026. During the programme, Grenadian artists will engage in hands-on workshops and collaborative sessions in MCing, dance, DJing and aerosol art.
Next Level uses hip hop as a platform for storytelling, dialogue, entrepreneurship, and community building. Through artistic collaboration and mentorship, the programme promotes creativity, strengthens people-to-people ties, and encourages the free exchange of ideas.
Next Level is an initiative of the US Department of State and is implemented by Meridian International Centre. The US Embassy thanks the Government of Grenada for its partnership and shared commitment to supporting the island’s creative community.
The 2026 programme also takes place as the United States commemorates the 250th anniversary of American independence, highlighting the enduring values of freedom of expression, creativity, and opportunity that cultural exchange programs like Next Level represent.
The programme will conclude with a free public showcase performance, where participants will present their work, and the community is invited to attend and celebrate Grenada’s vibrant creative talent.
