In the opening ceremony, the governor of Jawzjan, Maulvi Abdullah Al-Saridhi, said that the construction of such production centers is an important step to support the returned refugees, employment and strengthening the regional economy.
He emphasized the importance of protecting, correct use and effective utilization of the equipment of these centers.
At the same time, Mullah Amanullah Talha, Head of Jawzjan Refugees and Returnee Affairs, said that these two centers have been built for the purpose of creating sustainable work opportunities for returned refugees, increasing the production capacity of carpets and economic self-sufficiency of refugee families.
He added that both the centers are equipped with modern machines, equipments and necessary facilities and all the raw materials of one stage of work have been provided for the carpet weavers to start their activities without any delay.
According to the officials, with the activation of these centers, more than 550 returned refugees and residents of Noorabad town have been provided with continuous work.
On the other hand, some residents of Noorabad town welcomed the opening of these centers and said that they used to weave carpets for private companies for low wages, but now with the provision of modern equipment, facilities and raw materials, they can do their production independently and earn many times more than before.
