Transtejo Soflusa (TTSL) will provide an extra river route at 3:15 am in the early hours of Sunday, June 28, so that football fans can travel to Lisbon to watch the game between Portugal and Colombia.
“Service reinforcement will be ensured on the Cacilhas – Cais do Sodré and Barreiro – Terreiro do Paço connections, allowing passengers to follow the game and celebrations without worrying about the return journey”, indicates the TTSL.
The carrier also states that this operation aims to “respond to the increase in demand expected on a night marked by support for the national team, contributing to more comfortable and accessible mobility for all fans”.
Transtejo Soflusa (TTSL) is responsible for river connections between Seixal, Montijo, Cacilhas, Barreiro and Trafaria/Porto Brandão, in the district of Setúbal, and Lisbon.
The Metropolitano de Lisboa will also extend the opening hours of the Green and Red lines on the nights of this Friday, 26th, to Saturday, 27th, and from Saturday to Sunday, because of Rock in Rio, which takes place at Parque Tejo Lisboa, which will allow fans to watch the game and travel afterwards.
In the early hours of June 27th, the Green and Red lines will be in operation until 4am, with all stations open and six-car trains, reinforcing the transport capacity available for the festival. “It will also allow responding to the expected increase in demand associated with the Portuguese National Team’s match at the Football World Cup”, says the company in a statement.
In the early hours of June 28, service on these two lines will be extended until 3:00 am.
As part of the World Cup 2026, Portugal will face Colombia on Saturday, at 7:30 pm local time (00:30 on Sunday in Lisbon), in a match that will be refereed by Australian Alireza Faghani.
Terreiro do Paço has been the stage for broadcasting the 2026 World Cup games, bringing together fans of the competition at the Lisboa Football Arena, a space created in a partnership between Lisbon City Council and the Portuguese Football Federation that allows you to follow the matches on a giant screen.
