Tomorrow, on Titan, the first bell of the new school year will ring. They are overall 3,639 students enrolled in the San Marino school for the year 2026/2027, considering nursery, elementary, middle, upper secondary schools and Vocational Training Centre. The numbers highlight a general contraction in enrollments in the first three levels of school, while Upper Secondary School remains stable and professional training grows significantly.
At the Nursery School 730 children are enrolled, compared to 794 in the 2025/2026 school year: 64 fewer, equal to a decrease of approximately 8%. The decline also continues at Elementary Schoolwhich goes from 1,282 to 1,231 students, with a reduction of 51 students, equal to approximately 4%.
The decline was more limited Middle Schoolwhere enrollments went from 925 last year to 909 in the new school year: 16 fewer students, with a decrease of approximately 1.7%.
However, the number of students remains unchanged Upper Secondary Schoolwhich confirms the 700 members already registered in the previous school year.
The most significant data, however, comes from Professional Training Centerwhich is experiencing particularly marked growth. In fact, enrollments rise to 69, compared to 39 in 2025/2026: 30 more students.
Overall, compared to the 3,740 enrolled last year, the San Marino school system records 101 fewer studentswith an overall contraction of approximately 2.7%. Above all, the numbers in nursery and elementary schools are the ones that weigh heavily, while the stability of upper secondary schools and the strong growth in professional training represent the counter-trend elements.
With the first bell tomorrow, therefore, school officially starts again on Titan. The enrollment numbers give a complex picture: a reduction in the school population in the first years of the educational path, accompanied by the stability of high schools and a growing interest in professional training, which in the last year has seen the number of enrollees increase significantly.
