If there’s one place that seems carefully hidden from the rest of the world, it’s Blederia Falls. Located in eastern Serbia, near Kladovo and Mount Miroč, this waterfall and its river create a landscape that for a moment seems almost unreal – as if you have wandered into a Scandinavian forest, not the Serbian countryside.
It is one of those natural sites that have not yet been overwhelmed by mass tourism, which makes it particularly attractive for all those looking for peace, quiet and authentic contact with nature.
Turquoise water and wild beauty
@lutajuci_putnik THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WATERFALL IN SERBIA ❤️🇷🇸 To get to the waterfall, just type its name in the navigation and follow the directions. The road is mostly gravel (it’s my fault that it’s still in worse condition after so many years) and to get to the waterfall you’ll have to cross two wooden bridges. What makes this waterfall stand out from others is that it is located in a real oasis of nature and peace. The waterfall is about 7m high and after the water falls, a small lake is formed, which has an incredible emerald color. I also swam here in 2021 and enjoyed the cold water because the water temperature is around 12c. Now there is a sign that swimming here is prohibited, so I didn’t want to take a bath, but I certainly cooled down and enjoyed this nature. 🌲☀️🌳 There is also a large meadow near the waterfall, as well as a restaurant, so you can relax, enjoy yourself, have a drink or eat one of the specialties of Eastern Serbia – I vote for Vlach kačamak. Have you visited Blederia waterfall? 🇷🇸 #blenderie #djerdap #kladovo #negotin #waterfall #serbia #srbijatiktok #serbia🇷🇸 #serbia🇷🇸 #serbian #srbijafyp ♬ Sunny Day – Neno Belan
What sets Blederia apart at first glance is the color of the water. Depending on the time of year and the amount of sunlight, the river takes on shades of turquoise and emerald green, while it breaks through the forest environment into several smaller waterfalls and cascades.
The waterfall is not of monumental proportions, but it is precisely its “wild” form and environment that give it a special charm. Rocks covered with moss, dense greenery and the constant sound of water create an atmosphere of complete detachment from everyday life.

In recent years, the Blederia waterfall has increasingly attracted hikers, photographers and travelers who like undiscovered locations. The road to the waterfall is not always a classically arranged tourist route, which adds to the sense of adventure.
Coming here is not just a trip, but a small escape into nature – without noise, crowds and commercial content. This is precisely why a visit to Blederia is often described as an experience, not just a destination.
When to visit Blederia
The best time to visit is spring, when the waterfall is the richest in water due to snow melt and frequent rainfall. That’s when the vegetation is at its most lush, so the whole area looks almost cinematic.
Summer brings a calmer flow and more pleasant temperatures for walking through nature, while autumn gives Blederia a completely different character – the golden and copper shades of the leaves turn the landscape into a warm, almost romantic scene.
A little tip for visitors
Although the location is increasingly popular, it is important to remember that it is a natural site that is not fully urbanized. Comfortable shoes, caution when moving along the river and – perhaps most importantly – responsible behavior towards nature are recommended.
Blederia is not only a place to be photographed, but a place to be respected.
If you are looking for a destination that combines peace, untouched nature and a sense of discovery, Blederija waterfall is one of those points on the map of Serbia that is worth remembering – and always returning to.
