Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the meeting with the SP group, attacked the protesters and influencers who have been protesting massively under his office for three weeks, demanding his resignation.
In the meeting with the parliamentary group of the SP, Rama said that a scene has been created under his office where people engage in protests for “likes and followers”.
According to him, the influencers who “have become parlinja with saddles and creams”, hide in protests because it is a “trend” and because they are afraid to be left out of the wave.
Rama: A scene has been created to be seen and collected greedily, based on the fact that algorithms encourage like drugs, to increase the dose, the likes, the followers.
How many times have you heard it these days from people who have never in their lives imagined getting involved in politics and protests, but have become parelinjas with saddles and creams, to appear together with their saddles and creams, because it is the trend.
They are afraid of being left out. Because in the attention economy, silence is not rewarded, only participation. Only the one who has the courage to enter the competition, the one who makes the most dramatic video, is rewarded.
It doesn’t matter if the protest takes place on a coast of Spain, it’s enough for you to put the sign “Tirana”. Tirana doesn’t even have a sea, but that doesn’t matter, and putting a crowd there that says something in Spanish, but with subtitles reads “death of Israel”.
