The Saudi national team needs to achieve victory to maintain its hopes of reaching the next round, while the Cape Verde national team seeks to continue its historic adventure in its first appearance in the World Cup finals.

The Saudi team occupies the fourth and last place in the group with one point from two matches, which makes victory the only option for it to maintain its chances of qualifying, while the Cape Verdean team comes third with two points from two draws, and in turn hopes to come out with a positive result that will enhance its chances of passing to the next round.

In the same group, attention is turning to the upcoming confrontation between Uruguay and Spain at Guadalajara Stadium, in a direct match for the top spot in the group and the qualification tickets to the next round.
