The Minister of the Interior and Justice of Sweden, Gunnar Strömmer, is making a working visit to Tunisia. He was welcomed, with the delegation accompanying him, this Tuesday morning, April 28, 2026 at the Tunis-Carthage international airport, by the Minister of the Interior, Khaled Nouri.
A bilateral working session
In a press release, the Ministry of the Interior indicated that a working session was held at the ministry’s headquarters in the presence of delegations from the two countries. The discussions focused on several files falling within the competences of the respective Interior Ministries, including organized crime, terrorism, human trafficking, the fight against narcotics, arms trafficking, cybercrime and money laundering.
Strengthening the partnership
The two parties affirmed their common desire to strengthen relations of cooperation and effective partnership between the two ministries. The objective is to elevate these exchanges to a higher level by exploring ways to intensify the pace of exchange of expertise, capacity building and sharing of best practices to address current security challenges.
