In a small shop located at the level of the MC40 regional road, Samir bin Al-Mabrouk spends long hours between the walls of a small shop filled with many contents of “Fray” which every visitor thinks are things that have no longer been used and must be disposed of in order to maintain the cleanliness of the place. However, the matter is different for this blacksmith, whose experience in the world of the art of blacksmithing has amounted to nearly four decades, during which his talent has been awakened in the last ten years. In recent years, he devoted himself to embodying his passion and love for drawing by forming models of animals, statues, characters, and craftsmen, using iron materials and at the same time employing the remains of “Vray” mechanical engines, bicycle frames, etc., in creative artistic touches that reflect the richness of imagination and love of the craft.
Regarding the beginning of his experiment, Ben Al-Mabrouk indicated that the beginning was by chance and based on the desire of one of the craftsmen who asked him for a model. The result of the attempt was successful and encouraging, which tempted him to continue the experiment. He began to form models of animals and characters from the “Fray” and the remains of tin and short pieces of iron bars, or what some customers requested from the owners of entertainment spaces or parks… and he displays his products in front of his small shop in which he saw Samir is one of the obstacles that limit the spread of his work and products due to his location, and regarding his intention to develop his talent, Bin Al-Mabrouk confirmed that the matter is linked to providing the financial capabilities in order to acquire equipment and equipment that will allow him to develop his product and go far.
