Prime Minister Edi Rama, while participating in the EU-Western Balkans Summit that is taking place in Tivat, also stopped at the protests against the project discussed in Zvërnec.
Rama stressed that the countries of the region should all be at the same table, but each one should do its own duty. As for the Zvrnec protests, the head of the government stated that it is not about an environmental issue, but about a “hybrid war”.
“We should all be at the round table like today, but everyone should do their duty”, he said.
According to him, Iranian elements are behind the protest, who, as he said, have been involved in similar attacks on other occasions.
“It is not an environmental issue there, it is a hybrid war. Behind the protest are the Iranians, who have once again been
others involved in attacks”, he added.
Rama rejected the claims about the project in Zvërnec, stating that it is not the one that has been talked about publicly and that citizens have been shown fake videos produced in Tirana.
The Prime Minister added that there is currently nothing to discuss regarding this issue, as, according to him, there is no approved project.
“The project in Zvërnec is not the one that has been talked about. You have seen fake videos from Tirana… There is nothing to discuss, because there is no approved project”, said Rama.
