Around 6,000 servicemen from 15 NATO allied countries and partners will participate in the multinational NATO BALTOPS 2026 naval exercises in the Baltic Sea area, and around 20 warships have been deployed.
Efforts aimed at strengthening the alliance’s operational interoperability include improving anti-submarine and anti-aircraft capabilities, amphibious landings, demining operations and the use of unmanned aerial systems.
