Turmush — Hundreds of people met the President Sadyra Japarov on the road near one of the largest rice markets in the Batken region.
Turmush wrote that the president arrived on a working trip to the Batken region on May 6. While traveling through the Kadamzhay district, the president’s motorcade stopped near the market in the Torgovy area in the village of Halmion (now the settlement of Zhenish, which is part of the Iskhak-Polotkhan village aimag).
Hundreds of people from among the residents and those who arrived at the market in the Torgovy area met the head of state. He is accompanied by the Chairman of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General Abdikarim Alimbaev.
Every Wednesday there is active trade in agricultural products at the market in the Torgovy area. Mainly it is rice, which is cultivated by farmers of the Kadamzhai region.
The market is located along the Osh-Batken-Razzakov highway. There is a checkpoint across the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border located nearby – it borders the Rishtan region of Uzbekistan. In the other direction, the road passes through the Uzbek enclave of Sokh.
