“Summary” (AKIpress) – On May 6, employees of the Bishkek Municipal Internal Affairs Directorate and the Pervomaisky District Internal Affairs Directorate are carrying out preventive measures as part of the fight against domestic violence.
Inspectors of the Public Security Service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate and the Regional Department of Internal Affairs check families that are registered. Police officers are conducting conversations with citizens who have previously committed psychological or physical violence against their relatives. Also, during the raids, police officers find out whether similar facts were repeated after the intervention of law enforcement agencies.
As Begimai Konokbaeva, inspector of the Special Security Service of the Bishkek Main Internal Affairs Directorate, told the editors of “AKIpress Summary”, after “102” receives a complaint about family violence, the police go to the scene and issue a protection order.
“Currently, Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 417 of July 16, 2025 “On measures to implement security and protection from domestic violence” is in force. This document can be said to be aimed at improving work. A risk assessment protocol has been introduced. The protocol is completed in the form of a survey and includes 10 questions, based on the results of which the level of risk is determined – high or low. Risks are divided into three categories. If the risk is high, then in the event of domestic violence, such a family is automatically taken under control. A preventative conversation is immediately carried out, after which further work on the case begins.
Therefore, now the risk assessment protocol greatly helps us in our work when issuing a protection order,” she explained.
