The Police reacts: Traffic measures are about dangerous driving, not KLA flags

The Kosovo Police has announced that it is continuing the commitment of its human and logistical capacities to guarantee order and security during the protest announced for tonight at 21:00 in the central square of Pristina, in opposition to the judgment of the Special Court in The Hague.
The police have emphasized that after the peaceful protests, some participants, including people with masks, continued to drive around the capital, describing some of these drives as uncontrolled and dangerous for traffic participants and pedestrians.
According to the Police, the actions on the ground are aimed at preventing dangerous driving, protecting the lives of citizens and facilitating traffic.
The police have stated that the claims on social networks that citizens are being detained or punished because of the KLA flags, saying that no violence was used or measures taken against anyone because of national or KLA historical symbols, but only because of legal violations. /Express newspaper

Police engagements during the protest and road traffic

The Kosovo Police, as part of its commitments to maintain order, public tranquility and guarantee general security, is continuing to engage its human and logistical capacities in connection with the warnings for holding the protest today, at 21:00 in the central square of Pristina, in opposition to the judgment of the Special Court in The Hague.
As we announced in the past days and yesterday, through official publications that; after the end of the peaceful protests in the capital, a group of participants, including people with masks, are continuing the protests and parades with their vehicles through the streets of the capital, driving in an uncontrolled and dangerous manner, going out and standing through the windows and on top of the cars, endangering their lives and all other traffic participants, including pedestrians.
Police actions on the ground, as we have continuously clarified, are exclusively related to the prevention of dangerous and uncontrolled driving of some vehicles after the protests, are aimed at protecting the lives of pedestrians and guaranteeing traffic safety for all participants, as well as facilitating the flow of traffic in general.
The police strongly refutes the misinformation spread by certain individuals on social networks, that people are being stopped, punished or violence is being used against citizens who carry the KLA flag in their cars.
With full responsibility, we inform you that the Police of the Republic of Kosovo has not stopped, punished, nor used violence against any citizen, because of national historical symbols or KLA symbols, but because of legal violations.
Guaranteeing the safety of citizens, the progress of the protest in a calm and safe manner, traffic management and prevention of dangerous driving are the duties of the Kosovo Police, which are done in the interest of general safety.
The Kosovo Police, as always, thanks citizens for cooperation and understanding, at the same time calls on citizens and the media to rely only on official information and avoid the spread of unconfirmed claims, especially when they can affect the perception of security and create unnecessary concern and misinformation in the public.
