Yesterday, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), received His Excellency Mr. Raed Al-Saleh, Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, on the sidelines of the conclusion of the tripartite joint search and rescue exercise within urban areas.
During the interview, the close fraternal relations and existing partnership between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in the fields of emergencies, disaster management, capacity building and training, in a way that supports efforts to develop response and preparedness systems and enhances the benefit of the advanced expertise that the State of Qatar possesses in this field, serves the common interests of the two countries, and keeps pace with the aspirations of their leaderships.
