Problems
In connection with the foreign police, there is talk of the unavailability of dates and trading with them. Problems are caused by the increased number of foreigners in the country, lack of staff and an overloaded reservation system.
Some of the foreigners arrange the appointment illegally through intermediaries, which costs hundreds of euros, or they buy “bots”, programs that check for free places in the system at regular intervals, which, however, burdens it at the same time.
On Facebook there are groups dedicated to foreigners. At one of them, Foreigners in Kosice, the discussants offer help in booking an appointment with the foreign police, or help when obtaining a temporary residence permit. According to the announcement, the service is paid.
It turns out that each ethnic group apparently has its own mediators. For a fee, they fill out forms, help foreigners navigate the website of the Ministry of the Interior and accompany them to the foreign police, whose employees often do not speak English.
