    The ceasefire in Lebanon remained nominal: 28 people died in Israeli attacks


    The Israeli army continues its attacks against Lebanon despite diplomatic initiatives and agreements reached. 28 people lost their lives in today’s attacks.

    Since the night hours, air strikes have been carried out on the cities of Nabatiyeh, Sur and Sidon in the south of the country and the town of Suhmur in the east.

    According to the information provided by the official Lebanese agency NNA, according to preliminary information, 7 people were killed and 13 people were injured in the Israeli army’s air attack targeting the town of Kanarit in Sidon.

    In the air attack carried out in the Bariş town of Sur city in the morning, 4 people from the same family, including 2 children, lost their lives.

    It was reported that one person died in the town of Suhmur in the east of the country. Lebanon’s Civil Defense Directorate announced that 16 people lost their lives in the attacks on the southern province of Nabatiye.

    It was noted that search and rescue teams evacuated 47 people to safe areas, took the bodies of 16 people and 12 injured people to hospitals.

    THE LEBANON CONDITION HAS BEEN VIOLATED: WILL THERE BE MEETINGS?

    The military mobilization in question took place right after a critical agreement reached between Iran and the USA.

    The two countries announced on June 14 that they had reached a 14-article agreement stipulating that the war should be stopped and the problems between the parties would be resolved through negotiations, within the scope of the negotiation process carried out through Pakistan.

    This memorandum of understanding, called the “Islamabad Memorandum”, came into force on June 18, when it was signed digitally by Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkiyan and US President Donald Trump.

    Agreement; It includes items such as ending the war, including Lebanon, opening the Strait of Hormuz, and lifting the US naval blockade of Iran.
