Tirana is expected to be the center of a nationwide protest today, marking the 21st day of the mobilization of Albanians from all over the world for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to announcements made during the last few days, tens of thousands of citizens from all over Albania are expected to participate in today’s protest, as well as Albanians from the diaspora.
A group of Albanian immigrants has been leaving England for days in private vehicles to join the protest in Tirana. During the journey, compatriots from France, Germany, Austria and other European countries joined the caravan, forming a convoy of cars with red and black flags towards Albania.
As in the previous days, the protest is expected to start with the gathering of citizens in the center of Tirana, to then move towards the Prime Minister’s Office, where speeches will be held.
The main demand of the protesters remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government, while the organizers have called for the widest possible participation.
