The publisher recalled all copies on the day that Erste Bank announcedthat he will file a lawsuit over the comic, for defamation, illegal use of a trademark and damage to the bank’s reputation.
The comic led Libri’s hit list for more than two weeks, but at the time of writing, it only has a cold place in the bookstore’s webshop. Libri wrote about the success at that time that the reason could be explained by the current public relevance of the comic’s theme.
The work was originally written and drawn by Áron Ambrózy, who worked for the Pest Boys, but the publication, sold for HUF 2,490, also stated that the illustrations were made using artificial intelligence.
