A Luxembourg tradition has been saved: the “MSC Euribia” passed the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. This is reported by the news agency dpa. The cruise ship owned by the Swiss company MSC was stuck in the Persian Gulf for seven weeks after the outbreak of the Iran war. The “Euribia” is scheduled for the Päischtcroisière at the end of May.
The Euribia drove loudly dpa in a convoy with the TUI ships “Mein Schiff 4” and “Mein Schiff 5” from the Gulf of Persia. “The passage took place in close coordination with the responsible authorities,” it said.
On the way to Northern Europe
The TUI ships are on their way to the Mediterranean, the company announced in Hamburg. According to its company, the “MSC Euribia” is sailing directly to Northern Europe. A first cruise from Kiel on May 16th will take place as planned. The “Euribia” was stuck in Dubai, “Mein Schiff 4” in Abu Dhabi and the “Mein Schiff 5” in Doha. After the passengers were evacuated, small crews remained on board.
