Opportunities for investors
The Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Department of Energy Transition, organized, Monday May 4, 2026, at the ministry’s headquarters in Rabat, a workshop devoted to the public call for competition (APC) relating to the mining area of Tafilalet and Figuig.
This meeting is part of strengthening the attractiveness of investments in the mining sector. The offer concerns 361 blocks covering an area of approximately 13,000 km², thus opening promising prospects for the development of the region’s mining potential. This area is distinguished by significant geological potential and varied and strategic mining resources, reinforcing opportunities for sustainable development based on good governance and respect for environmental balances.
The meeting was also an opportunity to provide clarifications on the conditions and procedures of the call, as well as to present the digital mining cadastre as a lever to strengthen transparency and simplify procedures for the benefit of investors.
