Most of seismic tremors were located at sea Mediterraneanin an area marked by the presence of several offshore geological faults, specified Nasser Jabourdirector of theNational Institute of Geophysics.
According to the same source, seven shakes have been recorded so far, with activity gradually increasing. The strongest reached a magnitude 3.2 on the Richter scale off the coast of the province of M’diq-Fnideq. It occurred at 7:21 a.m. at a depth of 45 kilometers, at the coordinates 35.831 degrees north latitude and 5.154 degrees west longitude.
