Damascus, June 29 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani met Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein in Damascus on Monday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors.
According to a statement issued by Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the talks focused on expanding cooperation in ways that serve the shared interests of the Syrian and Iraqi peoples.
The two ministers also stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation to support regional security and stability.
The Iraqi minister arrived in Damascus earlier on Monday at the head of an Iraqi delegation for talks with Syrian officials on bilateral relations and regional issues.
